Hi there,
feeling a bit stupid to ask but I don''t manage to find an option to enable the
use of OpenStreetMap instead of GoogleMaps on the web interface.
Any advice is much appreciated!

Open street map has less functions and it is for free users. Google map is for the paid users. But you can not switch from google map to open street map.
