I have been running version 1.1.2 on my laptop for quite a while, and just saw that the app we have been running on our Windows 10 phones is a Universal App, available for use on my laptop. However, when I downloaded and ran the app (1.8.14), it appears to be running in a separate process, with both showing up in my account (the old one is Standard, the new one is Trial). Any thoughts on how to upgrade the old app to the new one, so that I don''t have to pay again (not a big deal), and to make sure that I don''t have multiple processes running on my laptop.

If I understand what you are saying... If you want to run the non trial version you need to purchase it for each device.

See this FAQ on how to transfer the license to another device. For your case, you just need to remove the device with v1.1.12 on your account page. This will free up the license code and you can use it in your v1.8.14 install. http://www.followmee.com/FAQ.aspx#transferlicense

I installed Windows PC app from Appstore on one laptop and desktop version on another. Looks like desktop version does not have option "App screen protected by above password". Is it so?

Hi, Chilson:
We might add this function to the desktop app in the future. If you need to hide the desktop app, you can remove the app''s program shortcut from the desktop and the start menu. Once the app is running, you can even delete the "FMEEGui.exe" so that there is UI to open this app.

Thanks. So if I want to switch to Store version with this "App screen protected by above password" function, should I uninstall the desktop version before installing one from Store? If so how can I pass the license form desktop version to one from Store on the same PC?
BTW can I completely remove Followmee from Start Menu without stoping program (Store version)?

Hi, Chilson:
Yes, you should uninstall the desktop version before installing the store version. Then login to your account page of this web site and remove the desktop instance. This will free up the app license. You can access the license code in the license code section of your account page. You then use the code to upgrade your store version. For how to transfer app license, see this faq http://www.followmee.com/FAQ.aspx?t=transferlicense
The store version can be uninstalled while in tracking state. But you should stop the tracking first before uninstalling it.
